Yazoo County Courthouse Renovation
Yazoo City, Mississippi
This project involves the renovation of the historic Yazoo County Courthouse. A three-story, hip-roof, stuccoed-brick structure, the current courthouse was completed in 1872 and is recognized as a Mississippi Landmark.
The renovations provide ADA upgrades, including restrooms, new interior and exterior ramps, elevator replacement, and parking. Windows will be replaced to provide energy efficiency and to reflect a more accurate historic look to the building.
This work funded through a Community Development Block Grant. Beard + Riser worked with the Mississippi Department of Archives and History (MDAH) for approval of design intent prior to construction.
